Minor damage to you car can be very expensive. Simply backing out of your driveway and rubbing up against the trash can cause thousands of dollars worth of damage. The worst thing to do is to take it back to the dealership where you bought it. Dealerships rarely have their own body shop. They generally outsource it to a local body shop and charge you a little extra for the trouble.
Some minor damage that may typically be candidate for a body shop might be able to be fixed, not completely, but so close that the cost savings makes it okay with ‘I can still see, but just barely’
I just finished a Honda Civic that scrapped a wall. The customer was quoted $1,800 from a friend of a friend, but most places I believe, would have charged closer to $3,500.
I made it pretty close to 100% for a mere $300 and I did the work at his house. It took me less than an hour, and he was able to use his car as normal after. A body shop would have had it for a week or more.
I know it’s not easy to tell when touch up is enough. Everyone wants their car to be back to normal after an accident, but the cost is prohibitive, but I can get really close, for a small fraction of the cost.
Take a look at the video and decide for yourself. $1,800 or $300?
I hope you find this useful.
